Dr Vinay K Agrawal (M.B.B.S., M.S. (ophthalmology), D.N.B. (Ophthalmology), Cornea Fellow, L.V.Prasad Eye Institute) is one of the most commended ophthalmologists in Mumbai for the past 24 years and counting. After completing his M.B.B.S. from T.N.Medical College in Bombay, he pursued his interests in the function, problems and treatment of the optical system and went on to achieve an M.S. in Ophthalmology and was also awarded the title of Diplomate of National Board (D.N.B.) by the National Board of Examinations, Ministry of Health in 1991. He was then selected for the Cornea Fellowship at the prestigious L.V.Prasad Eye Institute, Hyderabad, India.

His passion for sharing his hard-earned knowledge and innovations helped him become a notable Instructor Fellow at the University of Rochester, NY, the U.S.A. in 1995. He continues to impart his teachings of Cornea and Contact Lenses to the Resident Medical Officers at Pramukhswami Eye Hospital, Mumbai. He also holds the honour of sharing his research and accounts during various symposiums as a lecturer on crucial topics such as “Innovations in Ophthalmology”, “Practical Approach to corneal problems”, “Corneal Topography”, “Donor selection “, etc.

Dr Agrawal is an honourable awardee of the Bell Pharma Award for ‘Best Post Graduate Paper’ and ‘Best Original Research’ for his postgraduation research papers. He is also the recipient of V.K.Chitnis Oration for his research work in Keratoconus. His enormous pool of knowledge and skill led him to become the Chief Medical Editor of the Eye World (India) and the Ocular Surface Update Magazines.
