Custom Contact Lenses For Keratoconus And Irregular Cornea

What are Custom Contact Lenses?

Custom contact lenses are precision-designed lenses created to match the unique shape of your cornea, especially when standard lenses or glasses fail to provide clear vision.

Unlike regular lenses, they:

  • Fit irregular or uneven corneal surfaces
  • Provide stable, high-definition vision
  • Improve comfort for long-term wear

Key Benefits:

  • Non-surgical vision correction
  • Customized for each eye
  • Enhanced comfort and clarity
  • Alternative to surgical treatments

These lenses are particularly effective for patients with keratoconus, post-surgical corneal changes, or severe dry eyes.

What is Keratoconus / Irregular Cornea?

Keratoconus is a condition where the cornea becomes thin and bulges into a cone shape, leading to distorted vision.

Irregular cornea may also occur due to:

  • Previous eye surgery
  • Corneal scarring
  • Injury

These conditions make it difficult for standard glasses or soft lenses to correct vision effectively.

Symptoms

Common symptoms include:

  • Blurred or distorted vision
  • Double vision
  • Light sensitivity
  • Glare and halos
  • Frequent changes in vision prescription

  • You have been diagnosed with keratoconus
  • You experience discomfort with regular contact lenses
  • You want a non-surgical alternative to improve vision
  • You have post-surgical corneal irregularities

Custom lenses are often the first line of advanced correction before considering surgical options.
